Christmas and New Year at La Vieille Ferme

Escape the often stressful time that seems to accompany Christmas in modern day living and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a rural French Christmas at La Vieille Ferme.

A log fire in the wood burning stove, a Christmas tree decorated with lights, bottle of bubbly and welcome pack await you !

Eating out locally over the festive time is a dream – wonderful food, very reasonably priced and leisurely pace (many restaurants open on Christmas Day – a truly memorable experience!)

The 12th century church of St Peter is just 2 minutes walk from La Vieille Ferme and a service is held there on Christmas Eve night.

Some of the nearby villages and towns, Loches and Azay-le-Ferron for example, have marvellous displays of Christmas lights and nativity scenes and are just a short drive away.

Snow is unusual and cannot be guaranteed, but this year we had snow on New Year's Day which made the countryside look festive and magical. It lasted just one day, long enough to enjoy without causing problems.
