Walking and cycling

The area offers excellent walking and cycling terrain. Gentle rolling countryside, tranquil wooded landscape and Brenne Regional Nature Park, with its numerous lakes are all ideal for exploring on foot or cycle. The area is a haven for numerous species of birds, including birds of prey, butterflies, wild flowers, rare orchids, insects, frogs and more!

Well-indicated paths through the Brenne for walkers and cyclists and horse-riding centres throughout the park. Cycle hire available at La Vieille Ferme. Small villages and towns abound with quiet, country roads. You can stop for a drink or sample lunch in the local restaurants and cafes and soak up the unspoilt scenery of rural France.

6km from Cléré du Bois is la Haute-Touche animal park. You can walk, cycle or drive around the park. This park’s mission is to safeguard endangered species. You can safely observe over 1,000 animals in semi-liberty, such as zebras, antelopes, Canadian timber wolves, deer and wallabies.
